Building a Foundation of Support

CHALLENGE:  Sometimes the very people with whom you are closest to are the least supportive of your weight-loss efforts. What's more, you may find that your relationship with others is built around food and drinking. When you try to change that dynamic you may find you are met with resistance.

SOLUTION:  In next week's meeting, you will learn how helpful a supportive network can be for weight loss and explore ways to build such network. You may need to manage challenging relationships by asking for help or seeking new, more supportive acquaintances. Either way, you will learn the importance of taking responsibility for expressing your needs to those around you.
