Monitoring Yourself : A Journey of Self-Discovery

CHALLENGE: Although mastering the habit of self-monitoring can help you lose weight and keep it off, you may find it difficult to self-monitor consistently. You may start off the week vigilantly tracking food and activity only to abandon your efforts by week's end. Monitoring more than just food and activity -- things like habit and behavior changes for instance -- can seem overwhelming if you already find it hard to keep up with tracking.

SOLUTION: In next week's meeting, you will learn about the power of tracking. We will discuss strategies for achieving more consistency with monitoring and explore ways to make more extensive monitoring easier so it won't seem like a chore. Weight Watchers wants to make it part of your lifestyle and their are many techniques that can make you successful.

Step Up to the Walk-It Challenge

CHALLENGE:  Regular physical activity offers many physical, mental, and emotional benefits including better overall health, improved mood, and self satisfaction. Although most people are familiar with these benefits, it doesn't make it easier to get started exercising or stick with it. Busy schedules, lack of jnterest, and waning motivation are the key factors that keep people back. Often the reasons for not exercising are "It's too hot", "It's too cold", "I don't have time" or "I don't like to exercise."

SOLUTION: In this week's meeting, we will explore how goal setting can be an effective for motivation to begin exercising regularly and for helping to stay focused on activity efforts. We will introduce the new Walk-It Challenge which can help you set activity goals and follow through with support.
