Staying on Track with Tracking

Happy New Year!

THE CHALLENGE:  Studies show that overweight people tend to underestimate how much they eat and drink by up to 1,000 calories per day! That can cause people to gain weight or if they are trying to lose weight, hinder their success.

THE SOLUTION: Experts have found that tracking food intake, at least 75 percent of the time, helps increase the likelihood that people will lose weight and keep it off. Tracking can help members become more realistic about portion sizes and teach them more about their relationship with food. Tracking is the foundation of the Weight Watchers program and the first skill we will look at during the Momentum 2010 Challenge.
